The University of Leicester with a history of more than 80 years is rated amongst the top 20 British Universities. The Centre for Labour Market Studies (CLMS) of the University of Leicester, which holds this Doctorate programme is active since 1970 and is the first academic centre in the United Kingdom to have been honored with an accreditation from DETC (Distance Education & Training Council).
